The great outback cattle drive Want to experience the outback the old-Fashioned
way from a saddle but with all the modern comforts of luxury tent accommodation,
fantastic tucker and even a little live music? The great australian outback
cattle drive is a five-Day, real-Life epic adventure, driving 500-Head of cattle
and 150 horses across some of the most amazing country you'll ever see. Along
with some of the very best drovers in this country, and visitors from around the
world, you can travel along south australia's oodnadatta track, experiencing the
holiday thrill of a lifetime. It's the best fun you'll ever have on four legs!
First things first:You don't have to know how to ride a horse to take part in
the drive. In fact, most people don't when they turn up.The expert drovers will
give you a safety briefing, match you to a horse, show you how to get on, turn
right and left, stop and so on, and fit you for a helmet. You definitely won't be
the only beginner there. Day one will see you woken at 5.45am by the dulcet
clanging of a cow bell(Yes, a cow bell), which rings again at 6am, just in case
you're finding it hard to rise after a night of eating, drinking and laughing
under the stars. Once you're up and nicely breakfasted, you'll leave base camp
by bus, and be driven to the horse and cattle camp, ready to start your
adventure. After a full day in the saddle, with True Religion
Sale:http://www.alpha-m.co.uk/ a couple of hours break to feed and water
the horses, you'll bus it back to base camp to your very own carpeted tent, bed,
sheets, pillows, quilt and a long hot shower. Because traditional cattle droving
is a slow process, the cattle drive only travels around 14km a day.So, while the
drovers stay with the cattle and horses overnight, you'll never be further from
base camp than about 45km. Droving cattle may be hard yakka, but it does have
its perks nowadays.Professional film caterers are on hand to serve fresh produce
and hearty food every day.Wake up to a fully cooked breakfast of porridge,
bacon, eggs, the works! As well, look forward to morning tea, lunch out with the
cattle, afternoon tea and a brilliant two-Course dinner, which could be a roast
one night or a curry or a barbecue or something else entirely. But whatever it
is, it's bound to be satisfying, especially when you've worked up a proper
appetite.Wash it all down with a welcome bevvy and relax around the campfire,
singing songs or just marvelling at the carpet of stars above. You don't have to
be particularly fit but, because you'll be on horseback for at least six hours a
day, you might be feeling a little bit tender in the, um, lower part of your
anatomy, at first.Don't worry. It the website passes, and you'll probably
feel like an old-Hand after the second day. To prevent chaffing, take along a
pair of pantyhose(And that means the men, too! )To wear under your jeans.Don't
laugh! It really helps. And if, for any reason, you really can't face another day
True
Religion Sale UK in the saddle, it's not the end of the world. There are
always plenty of things to do back at base camp, including browsing through the
full library, or taking a scenic flight over lake eyre.
